New recommendation guides to improve the implementation of AOC services
The Generalitat de Catalunya has created theDigital Administration Observatory, a website detailing with data and indicators the progress in digital transformation in the Generalitat, one of the main objectives of the administration reform plan and the improvement of public services approved by the Government last October.
The observatory exposes some of the benefits of the digitization of the Public Administration, such as the 76 million pieces of data and documents that the Generalitat has saved to provide to citizens in twelve months. It also reflects that 93% of the procedures offered by the Generalitat can be done online and that during the last year nearly three million procedures of this type have been managed.
This project has been financed with the European Next Generation funds and is framed in a context of technological revolution where a great effort must be made to promote its transformation towards a digital administration model proactive, transparent, secure and accessible. This translates into more services efficient that facilitate day-to-day life and contribute to building an advanced digital society.
AOC evaluation initiatives
In this line of evaluation, the AOC has been publishing since 2015 theDigital Maturity Index of Local Administrations (IMD), a composite indicator made up of more than 30 indicators organized in three dimensions (compliance with digital rights, activity of electronic services and compliance with the principles of open government), which assesses the degree of digital transformation of the town councils and county councils of Catalonia . From the result of this index, the AOC delivers annually the Acknowledgments Open Administration, awards that the AOC gives to organizations that stand out in digital transformation and open government in their relationship with citizens.
Another evaluation initiative of the AOC is the AOC Indicators website, which publishes information on the indicators of interoperability services and common services of the AOC for all Catalan administrations.
